These terms apply to reservations at Dar Zilal, Al Sufouh Road, Jumeirah 3, Dubai, and to the use of this website. By making a reservation you accept them on behalf of everyone in your booking.
( 2 )Reservations and rates
Rates are quoted per room per night in UAE dirhams and include breakfast and the abras. A 10% service charge, 7% municipality fee and 5% VAT are added to the rate, and the Tourism Dirham fee set by the Dubai authorities is charged per room per night; every line is itemised before you confirm a reservation. A reservation is confirmed once we send written confirmation.
( 3 )Deposits and payment
No payment is taken on this website. Once you reserve, our reservations team emails you to guarantee the stay with a card. On the flexible rate nothing is charged until arrival. Advance rates are charged in full at booking. Any balance is settled at check-out.
( 4 )Changes and cancellation
On the flexible rate you can change or cancel free of charge until seven days before arrival. Within seven days, or if you do not arrive, the first night is charged. Advance rates cannot be changed or refunded. Festive season and event dates may carry their own terms, which we state when you book.
( 5 )Check-in and check-out
Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure. Late departure until 18:00 can be arranged on request at half the nightly rate. Every guest is asked for a passport or Emirates ID at check-in, as Dubai law requires.
( 6 )Children, occupancy and pets
Each room may be occupied only by the number of guests confirmed in the booking. Children are welcome and cots are free; the hammam is for guests aged sixteen and over. We cannot host pets, with the exception of assistance dogs.
( 7 )The abras and the lagoon
Our abras run between 06:00 and midnight. Guests must follow the boatman’s instructions, and children travel with an adult and a life jacket. We may pause the service in high wind or poor visibility, and a buggy then runs along the arcade instead. Swimming in the lagoon is not permitted.
( 8 )Excursions and transfers
Desert, falconry and sea excursions are run by licensed partners and may be moved or cancelled for weather or safety, in which case we offer another date or a full refund. Airport transfers are charged per car, each way, unless included in your rate.
( 9 )Conduct and property
We ask guests to respect the quiet of the palace and the customs of the UAE. Smoking is permitted only in the marked areas of the garden court and on Qamar’s terrace. Guests are responsible for damage they cause to the room or the grounds.
( 10 )Our liability
We take great care of your stay but are not responsible for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Valuables should be kept in the safe in your room. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

The text, photographs and design of this website belong to Dar Zilal and may not be reused without permission. Information on the website, including rates and opening hours, may change and is confirmed at the time of booking.
( 12 )Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
